Kevin Greer’s 1960 Dodge Truck “Rattles”
It all started when Kevin Greer of Marietta, GA sent me a photo of his 1960 Dodge Pick-up tricked out for oval box display and sale. The affection Kevin has for Rattles matches his ingenuity in using it for craft sales. This is no shining restoration. It is a working partner in Kevin’s life.
Charlotte Library Display of John’s Two Books
The second photo comes from the Charlotte, MI, public library who gave over their display case this January to my two new books. Making Wood Tools 2nd Edition appeared in February 2014. It shows the range of hand tools made from plans and directions. Shaker Oval Boxes Vol. I made it’s debut in July and is shown in the display of boxes and carriers. I received an inspiring comment from Lary Ritter recently, he writes, “I enjoyed the book so much I read it immediately in one sitting! I hope that it being called “Volume 1″ is a prelude of things yet to come.”

Inspiring Poetry Heading Our January Mailing
The third item comes from John Tuckey who liked the lead-off poem in this January’s customer mailing. He wrote that “this statement here is wonderful and I can relate with it to the letter. I have copied it, sized it down, and mounted it. It now hangs in my workshop. Great words of inspiration.” John not only makes oval boxes, he is using #5 bands for a dulcimer project. “I just hope that I can pull this off–this is the first one I’ve ever built.”
Keep those comments coming. Eric and I love to hear from you. We hope you enjoy the new sharing experience.
